Frequently Asked Questions

We no longer accept insurance as of February 1, 2025 due to increasing operational cost and a reduction in insurance reimbursement rates. Our clinic has made the difficult decision to transition to a self-pay practice model. This means that we will no longer accept, nor process insurance claims. Instead, patients will be responsible for payment when appointment is booked.

This decision was not made lightly, and I understand how significant this change will impact you, our patients. Unfortunately, our years of trying to contain or reduce the constantly increasing costs while providing high-quality care has been unsustainable, especially with reimbursement rates for podiatry care not fairly reflecting these expenses nor their rising trends.

For transparency and to allow you to make the best decision for yourself, visit our Services tab for a full price list.

If the service you are inquiring about is not listed, please call our office and we will be happy to answer your question.

Pedicures are beauty services rendered by non-medical professionals. If a patient is generally healthy with no risk factors for developing infections and wounds that would not lead to amputation, then it maybe ok for them to visit a facility that provides pedicures. However if you have corns, calluses, fungal toenails, thickened toenails, pain/decrease sensation in the feet, wounds, poor circulation or peeling skin, this is not normal and should be evaluated by medical provider.

A visit with one of our foot care providers will leave you with knowledge about your foot health and body wellness that will make a big impact in your life.

Our office is in the process of bringing in a licensed pedicurist that will offer beautification services under a sterile environment in our Braintree office.

No, our providers are not able to perform surgical procedures beyond toenail removal, as the scope of our practice does not include ankle and foot surgical procedures.

We can refer you to local Podiatrists whom we have partnered with for surgical care. Examples of procedures we do not perform include: steroid Injections, bunion surgery, hammertoe surgery, surgical removal of deeply embedded warts, and surgical removal of deeply embedded foreign objects.

A Podiatrist is a doctor of podiatric medicine and they are trained to provide care and surgical procedures for those with foot and ankle conditions.

A Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practicing registered nurse typically earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

Our services are provided by a Podiatry Nurse Practitioner who is trained as an adult primary care provider with specialized footcare training under well-known podiatrists. The focus of our care delivery is prevention and to treat when it is safe and necessary to do so.

Like podiatrist, our nurse practitioner can perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (like x-rays) and labs, provide counseling/education, write prescriptions, order VNA services for home physical therapy or wound management, and write prescriptions for diabetic shoes.

Swift an FDA Cleared technology that has proven to be highly effective in the removal of plantar warts. It delivers low dose microwave energy through a specialized probe that targets and effectively treats the underlying HPV virus by stimulating a natural immune response in the body. We like to say that we’re addressing the root cause; not the symptom.

Due to Swift harnessing the power of the patient’s immune system to target the root cause of the wart (HPV), efficacy is significantly higher compared to other treatment methods.
